RESERVATION MANAGER, CHINESE LANGUAGE

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Communication and negotiation with overseas partners in the Chinese language, handling GIT and FIT requests, hotel reservations, and tour package calculations;
  • Booking travel services, including accommodations, flights, ground services and guided tours;
  • Working in close conjunction with suppliers and contractors as well as with quality control and client support teams to ensure a consistently high service level;
  • Issuing invoices and ensuring payment accuracy;
  • Creation and regular revision of price lists for accommodations, flights, ground transfers and other services, checking adherence to established rates;
  • Taking part in the organization of seminars, trainings and webinars for agents in the Chinese language;
  • Translation and interpretation from/into Chinese, and communication with Chinese clients;
  • Monitoring and tracking online booking requests;
  • Initiation and organization of training and coaching sessions for the reservations staff;
  • Supervision of the reservations team.

An ideal candidate:

  • Is fluent in English and Chinese;
  • Has a minimum 4 years’ experience in the travel or hospitality industry (preferably in reservations or sales);
  • Has a university degree in tourism or an allied discipline (management, marketing);
  • Is a male or female aged 26-40 years;
  • Is a confident PC user (Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer);
  • Has excellent managerial and organizational skills;
  • Is able to work both as part of a team and independently;
  • Is proactive, motivated, reliable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
