Crematorium Exhibits Find New Homes

10 January 2018

Bangkok authorities have started dismantling the royal crematorium at Sanam Luang. Work is estimated to take more than 90 days. Parts, including the exhibits, will be transferred to the National Archives of Thailand, Office of Traditional Arts, and the National Museum of Thailand.

After the funeral ceremony, the crematorium housed an exhibition on the life of the much-beloved monarch’s life and legacy. Some of the late King Bhumibol’s personal belongings are on display. The crematorium is reported to have received more than 4 million visitors over the past two months.
