TAT to Promote Sukhothai as Top Destination for International Tourists

14 February 2018

The Tourism Authority of Thailand wants to turn Sukhothai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, into a unique cultural and gourmet experience destination.

Aside from its well-known historical monuments, Sukhothai has many other potential products to be developed and promoted to draw foreign visitors.

The ancient city of Sukhothai, often dubbed “the cradle of Thai civilization”, is situated in north Thailand between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. The trip from the capital of the province to the historical park will take about 15 minutes by public transport.
