Entries Needed for World Jewelry Design Awards 2018

16 May 2018

The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT) is inviting designers to take part in the 12th World Jewelry Design Awards 2018. This year’s theme is ‘The Pearl of Wisdom – Illumination from under the Surface’. Contestants will use pearl as the core of the artwork.

The winner will be awarded a THB 300,000 (about US $9,000) cash prize and a trophy presented by Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol. The competition winners will be determined by a vote of a panel of honourary judges, and a Popular Design Award 2018 will be based on an online public vote.

Submissions are accepted until 28 May, with winners to be announced on 1 September.

The finalists’ designs will be made into jewelry and be displayed at the 62nd Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, to be held 7-11 September in the Thai capital.
