This year, the 2018 Best Countries ranking gave the Kingdom high marks in several categories:

• #4 in Adventure;

• #6 in Movers;

• #8 in Heritage;

• #9 Best Countries to Travel Alone;

• #15 in Open for Business;

• #19 in Cultural Influence; and

• #20 in Best Countries for a Comfortable Retirement.

Moreover, Thailand ranked 30th in quality of life.

The U.S. News & World Report article rated 80 countries based on a survey of over 21,000 citizens from across the globe, measuring 75 factors that impact trade, travel and investment and directly affect national economies.
