Thailand to meet demand for black caviar

10 November 2015

A joint Russian-Thai manufacture of black caviar, Thai Sturgeon Farm Co. Ltd., has been launched in Hua Hin city. It is planned to produce 2 tons of the product annually. Founders of Thai Sturgeon Farm Co. Ltd. Noppadon Khamsai and Alexey Tyutin are both sure that the demand for black caviar will grow in Asia, especially in Hong Kong, Singapore and Macao.

Throughout a year businessmen have been building a farm for breeding sturgeons and establishing contacts with local authorities. Thai Sturgeon Farm Co. Ltd. uses Russian technology of growing sturgeons and producing black caviar. In this case, the fish is not killed, and the roe is extracted surgically. A specially invited ichthyologist and fish-breeder Vasily Krasnoborodko supported in implementation of the technology in Hua Hin.
