Immigration Bureau of Thailand has recently launched a new electronic application, which allows citizens of 19 countries to make an online application for visa. Tourists can apply for visa before the travel and receive it immediately on arrival.
Application of VOA online service is introduced to facilitate tourists, arriving to country in the Suvarnabhumi airport. The program also helps to reduce the time of visa regime approval process and improve the work efficiency, as well as promote a positive image of Thailand as a welcoming country.
Citizens of Andorra, Bhutan, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan can fill in an online application form via www.immigration.go.th. After the application is registered, guest will get a transaction number. Tourist shall print it and bring to the travel to Thailand to get the VOA stamp in passport. Internet service is currently available only in English and Chinese.
