Tour Brings Artists Closer to Thailand's Treasures

16 August 2016

During early August, the Tourism Authority of Thailand invited 84 influential writers, bloggers and photographers from around the world for a familiarization tour of Thailand. The trip, named 84 Perspectives of Thailand, was designed to showcase Royal Projects and present the best of Thai culture to the international media.

The participants were split into four groups to travel to the Northern, Southern, Northeastern and Central regions. During 1-5 August, they explored the Kingdom’s most spellbinding sites and visited some of the initiatives and projects inspired by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit.

This event is expected to significantly contribute to the development of tourism in the country. The Thai tourism authority believes that the extensive media exposure will result in an increase in international visitors, enticed by the Kingdom's unrivaled diversity. The trip was organised as part of the TAT’s Women’s Journey Thailand campaign, running through August 2016.
