Chiang Rai will hold its annual Flower Festival from 23 December to 8 January. The festival is expected to draw more than 1 million visitors and participants from across Southeast Asia to Thailand’s northernmost province.
Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya, the older sister of Rama X, has been asked to preside over the festival’s opening ceremony on 24 December.
The event will take place in the flower gardens by the Mae Kok River. The program will include floral displays, contest, and concerts.
