Bangkok’s Shanghai Mansion Gains Accolade

16 December 2016

Bangkok’s Shanghai Mansion, a five-star boutique hotel, has been named the Asia-Pacific region's Best Luxury Cultural Hotel 2016 at the 10th Annual World Luxury Hotel Awards Gala held in Dubai.

Part of the Burasari Group, the Shanghai Mansion is located in the capital’s Chinatown, in a historic building that was formerly Bangkok’s first Chinese Opera House. Despite a large-scale renovation, it has lost none of its elegance and has preserved the glamourous and vibrant spirit of 1930s’ Shanghai.

Sophisticated art deco style and lavish textile decorations add guest rooms a noble and romantic glow. The hotel features a garden, pond teeming with golden carp, a spa salon and a ballroom.

The World Luxury Hotel Awards reward excellence within the luxury hotel industry.
