Couples Discover Thailand’s Wedding Destiny

14 February 2017

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) selected nine couples from around the world to participate in the Thai Wedding Destiny campaign, which promotes Thailand as the world’s leading wedding destination.

The couples were treated to weddings in Sukhothai, Phuket, Krabi and Koh Samui. Part of the Amazing Romance in Thailand campaign, the Thai Wedding Destiny project was rolled out in November 2016 by TAT in collaboration with Bangkok Airways and leading Thai wedding organizers.

On 2-4 May, 2017, Thailand will host the Fourth Annual Destination Wedding Planners Congress 2017 in Phuket.

The tourism authority says that an average couple spends between 5 million and 20 million THB on their wedding. This year, TAT projects that spending will increase by between 3% and 5%.
