Thailand Focusing on Foodies in 2018

20 July 2017

Thai tourism officials say that next year’s promotional efforts will include a greater focus on gastronomic tourism.

Thailand’s tourism authority made the focus part of its continued effort to develop the Kingdom as a preferred destination.

Plan highlights include the launch of the Michelin Guidebook Bangkok and hosting the 4th UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism. Tourism remains one the main sources of income for the Kingdom. In 2018, Thailand is expected to generate around 3.1 trillion baht from foreign visitors.
