Sport Lagoon Planned for Bangkok

28 December 2017

Crystal Lagoon, a multinational sustainable lagoon developer, is going to launch its first project in Thailand by building an artificial lagoon.

Triathlon is increasingly popular in the Kingdom with thousands of international visitors coming to enjoy the races held in Pattaya and Hua Hin, according to Thailand’s tourism authority. TAT noted that venues where athletes may practice and train for tournaments are scarce, creating the need for an artificial lagoon in Bangkok. Tourism officials believe that a lagoon would make training safer and more enjoyable.

The lagoon would offer a unique opportunity to enjoy an idyllic beach paradise without leaving the capital, a regional representative of Crystal Lagoon for Southeast East Asia says. The lagoon can also be used for aqua-biking and underwater cycling fitness sessions.
