Sisters Named ‘Golf Ambassadors’

03 March 2017

Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn, the Kingdom’s most renowned golfing sisters, have been appointed Thailand Golf Ambassadors, the Thai tourism authority said. The sports celebrities will represent the country at major events and tournaments around the world and help promote Thailand as a leading golf destination.

Golf enjoys huge popularity in the Kingdom. Premier golf courses can be found in many regions across Thailand and many upscale hotels offer golf facilities. The country hosts a number of international golf championships each year, including the Honda LPGA and Thailand Golf Championship. The Kingdom has been recognized by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO). In particular, Chiang Mai has been named the Next Golf Destination of the Year 2017 in the Asia & Australasia region.
