Thailand’s tourism authority is offering Chinese guests the opportunity to vote in the upcoming People’s Choice Awards Thailand between 26 May and 8 June. Winners will be announced during a ceremony in Bangkok on 12 June.
“Now in its third year, the People’s Choice Awards Thailand Voted by Chinese Tourists project reflects the huge and growing popularity of Thailand among tourists from the People’s Republic of China,” said Yuthasak Supasorn, governor of the Thai tourism authority.
Awards are made in categories including best hotel, restaurant, spa, shopping center, golf course, theme park, and airline.
Voters will be entered in a drawing to win airline tickets, and accommodation, spa, and dining vouchers.
In 2016, Thailand welcomed 8.8 million visitors from the Celestial Empire, and 9 million are expected by year-end, generating THB 570 billion.
